Former Students of Turning Point Ben Pettit and Michael Dotts embrace in reunion. Benny has been helping the homeless in San Diego and Michael just returned from a mission's trip to Aruba.

The Old Eucalyptus Schoolhouse was the setting as Turning Point Ministries held its 14th Annual Banquet and Silent Auction last Friday which was themed “He Restores My Soul”.  Guests were treated to a delicious meal amidst lovely décor and wonderful music provided by Brooks Anderholt and the “Forgiven” praise band from Trinity Baptist Church of Holtville.
The program was started with a welcome from Pastor Norm Chandler, Director of Turning Point Ministries.  He spoke of his gratitude to all those who support this ministry through their giving and prayers, and also told the audience about some specific needs that ministry currently has.  Several guests speakers, including Johnny Buscaglia, Steve Sharp, Louis Barajas, and Brooks Anderholt, spoke about what the ministry has meant to them and how their lives have been touched through Turning Point.
A very special part of the evening was the testimonies that were given by current Turning Point Men’s Home residents, who each spoke about the negativity of their past lives, and how Turning Point is helping them to break free from their addictions and strongholds and live lives with the joy of the Lord in their hearts.  They, too, expressed their appreciation to those who give, as this giving is what keeps the ministry operating.
The Turning Point Men’s Home Choir performed three songs, accompanied by “Forgiven”.  They want to thank Clark Baker Music for the donation of the musical equipment.
Guests also had a great opportunity to leave with some fabulous items.  The Silent Auction was overflowing with terrific items up for bid, and many lucky bid winners left with their treasures.
