Principal of Holtville High School, Mario Garcia, stated in a letter to students, parents and guardians, ”Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year. I trust all of you had a relaxing enjoyable summer, and are looking forward to the upcoming year. Let’s work together to ensure our students have an enjoyable and rewarding high school experience.”
At the time of registration, all fees must be paid or arrangements made with the school in order for your child to receive his or her schedule. Students who continue to have outstanding fines will not be permitted to participate in school functions such as assemblies, dances and sports.
Per ED Code 48904,4904.3, “a school district may withhold a pupil’s grades, diploma, or transcripts for failure to reimburse the school district for damages or loss of school property.” An excessive amount of money lost because of fines and lost or damaged school property has made it necessary for the school to take these steps.
